iPad Coming to Best Buy? Apple's New Product to Hit Shelves in Late February

The iPad is a “tablet computer”, which is basically a small screen--bigger than the iPhone and smaller than a laptop--that has basic computer features. (Of course, “basic” in these days means internet, music, movies, and any other capability that you can think of.) These little gadgets come in six different models that range in price from $499 to $829, and are the “missing link” between smart phones and traditional computers, according to Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

After Apple’s highly-anticipated announcement of its iPad launch, Apple fans and gadget freaks await the next and most important announcement: when and where they can get their hands on one. The word on the street is that the iPad will be ready for retail in late February or early March, available at Best Buy (and obviously Apple stores). Although these are only rumors for now, they are “strong rumors,” according to one source, and consumers can’t wait until these things hit the shelves.

Apple is expecting to sell the iPad in huge numbers this year, and customers worry that Apple may not even be able to meet demand for the first few months.

Apple said that customers have already started to come into the stores, asking about iPad accessories, and stores were already getting phone calls before the official launch was even completed. For those who really can’t wait, there is one company who will be giving out free iPads to some lucky sweepstakes winners. You can try your luck at this website:

But a word of warning--the site will try to rope you into taking all sorts of surveys and signing up for stuff you don't need--of course, as they say, if something is too good to be true then it probably is! Just be sure to read the fine print. Good luck.
